A fast-paced, high-energy performance ad created for MPL’s US market, blending live-action, motion graphics, and in-game Crash elements to drive conversions at scale.

Crash is one of MPL’s most dynamic real-money gaming titles, built around timing, tension, and multiplier jumps. This performance ad was designed specifically for US acquisition campaigns, featuring a direct-to-camera delivery style combined with intense, animated game visuals. The result is a fast, scroll-stopping creative that communicates the thrill of Crash in seconds.

What was the challenge or idea?

The challenge was to create a single performance ad that could be converted into multiple high-CTR variants, each with different openings, hooks, pacing, and CTA frames.


Key challenges included:

  • Communicating the Crash mechanic instantly

  • Ensuring the tone matched US gaming influencers

  • Integrating in-game elements seamlessly into live action

  • Designing visuals loud enough to stop scroll, but not chaotic

  • Preparing a workflow that allowed 20+ versions from a single shoot

How did Rotten Tree approach it?

We shot a high-energy, direct-to-camera performance on green screen to give us total flexibility in post. The actor’s delivery was crafted to feel native to US gaming content — fast, excited, slightly exaggerated.

Then, we built a motion-graphic animation package in After Effects using real Crash UI elements, including:

  • The rocket

  • Multiplier curve

  • Crash explosion frames

  • Floating UI clouds

  • In-game fonts & iconography



These elements were timed to the actor’s reactions to amplify excitement and urgency. The final composites blended live-action + game world in a way that feels fun, fast, and highly clickable.

Impact & Usage

These assets were deployed across:

  • Facebook/Meta ads

  • YouTube pre-rolls

  • TikTok gaming performance ads

  • Programmatic gaming networks

  • In-app acquisition campaigns
